What is Connected Routes?

To create a learning community where children, adults, and families grow through connection—connection to self, connection to community, and connection to the world.
Through multilingual learning, cultural experiences, hands-on exploration, and meaningful relationships, we cultivate curiosity, confidence, belonging, and lifelong learning.
A community where learning is woven into everyday life - where learners' roots begin within, grow through community, and extend across the world. We aim to create a place where education feels meaningful, where learners engage with compassion, purpose, and a deep sense of belonging.

Who we are

I am a dedicated educator, lifelong learner, and proud mother of three kind, curious, and strong boys. As a certified elementary teacher with three years of classroom experience and two years of homeschooling, I bring both professional knowledge and a deeply personal approach to education. I love creating joyful learning experiences through movement, music, reading, creativity, and curiosity. Whether through dance breaks, hands-on exploration, or meaningful conversation, I am passionate about helping children feel confident, inspired, and excited to learn. Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking, exercising, coffee, and spending time with my husband and children.

Sade Rivera

First and foremost I'm a mother to three wildly creative and energetic kids- 11, 5 and 2. I am a certified teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching all ages in Arizona, California, and abroad. I am a lifelong learner with a passion for language, culture, and connection. I have worked in many types of classrooms, enrichment programs, and homeschool communities, always focusing on meaningful, real-world learning. I believe education should feel alive, connected, and empowering. I love learning new languages, exploring different countries and cultures, and helping others build confidence. Outside of teaching, I love salsa dancing, exercising and painting.

Our Why

As two educators and mothers, we deeply believe in the power of school choice. Every child is unique, and education should never be one-size-fits-all. We believe that with the right learning environment, every child has the potential to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. That’s why we are passionate about helping families find educational paths that truly fit their children, rather than forcing children to fit into a single system.

As mothers raising multicultural and biracial families, diversity, belonging, and identity are deeply personal to us. We want to create a space where every child feels seen, valued, and celebrated for exactly who they are. Our goal is to build a learning community where children can feel comfortable in their own skin, confident in their voice, and proud of what they bring to the world.

We also believe that learning never ends. Education is not only for children—it is for all of us, at every stage of life. Beyond being mothers, we are human beings constantly growing, evolving, and discovering who we are. We want to create opportunities for adults, parents and non-parents alike, to continue learning, building confidence, and reconnecting with their own passions, purpose, and potential.
